A return visit after a gap of a few years to the superb facility of the Rydale Society of Model Engineers in Gilling, Yorkshire. Huge variety of locos and stock running as usual, nothing else quite like it.

A brief visit to the Oxford Society of Model Engineers to have a look at the Sweet Pea Rally, some 65 engines turned up over the weekend!

A railtour to the SVR from Kensington Olympia hauled by A4 61009 "Bittern" A very dark and gloomy day but enjoyed chasing the tour from Kidderminster to Tyseley, Dorridge then near Lapworth although by that time (19:45) it was too dark to bother with the camera.

A most enjoyable long weekend at the SVR now that the line has been repaired after last years devastating floods. Spent friday and sunday on the trains and went out linesiding on the saturday and monday. Shame about the weather, seemed to keep people away, it was very windy and chilly throughout although a bit of sunshine was to be seen, just not very often!

One thing I have learnt with the new camera is that the screen seems to show images brighter than they actually turn out, something I am going to have to compensate for as a few of these are a little bit darker than I had expected...

A most enjoyable weekend at the GCR Winter Steam Gala, plenty of action from a very intensive timetable, travelled on the trains on the Saturday, was extremely busy! and went out taking snaps on the Sunday. An event well worth attending.

An enjoyable week at the WSR for our annual "Drive and Fire your own loco" days and our "3850 Return to Steam Shareholders Special" on the Saturday when 150+ members and invited guests enjoyed a return run to Minehead behind 3850 and heard about our "New Horizons" appeal, with all proceeds going towards the overhaul of "Dinmore Manor"
